![]() It has a default setting that are already my current recording settings. It looks really cool and have a nice hardware, looks stable, comes with ProTools LE (which is cool cause I don't like nuendo, cubase etc)Ħ. If I need some MIDI recording I can buy MIDI cable for 20-30 bucks.ĥ. I will never record more than one instrument at a time anyway. It has a Phantom Power 48v which old fast track don't. Also on you tube channel called LIMITLESS STUDIOS.ģ. It's brand new and better than old fast track, and I read a lot of rewievs on internet and musicians are saying that you can't get better for that money for sure and that is really good. It's famous comapny with well know productsĢ. ![]() In THAT price range (130-150$) were some PRESONUS interfaces which seemed to be cool and good and I bet they are but since I have unbalanced monitor outputs (Behringer MS40) and that PreSonus was with 1/4 inch output jacks for monitors I decided to have M-Audio since everything I need was in that interface.ġ. I didn't ignore anything I went to few sites like etc, and asked a very same question, PLUS I went to the house of my friend (he finished production and sound studies) and we started search looking differen AUDIO INTERFACES on web. One thing is sure.I started goofing arround in FruityLoops years ago and make some MIDI metal songs I wanted to play, then I tried AcidPro, than some CakeWalk, SoundForge, Cubase, Nuendo.and when I bought my first iMac I switched to LOGIC and I can tell that it has most user friendly interface, it's VERY versatile, looks great, very powerful and handy, I made house/techno stuff, hip hop, heavy metal, rock, pop.it's suitable for everything and then I thought to my self "Why all these people in tutorials are going from app to app with a very same project? I guess there is something that just NUENDO or PROTOOLS or LOGIC are capable of so it needs to be done there.".Īnd that's why I made this thread because I wanted to hear some opinions from LOGIC users which are familiar with other DAW's and possibilities between them. I gues I will see how much drive space is requiered and eventually run PT for a while, check some tutorials to see what is capable of, how the workflow looks like, etc. Seeren.yeah it's limited so I will get just basics. Otherwise I should put old mixes as waw files in Logic project which is not a good solution. I will try to go and see how things are placed in PT but I often have iTunes opened in order to listen previous mixes and compare to new ones from Logic. So I wanted to ask if someone knows if there is something particular that still isn't possible in Logic And now since LOGIC 9 has amazing new features such as FLEX, VARISPEED, IMPORT Project stuff, tempo change etc.some people are like : "Okay we don't need to go between Logic and ProTools, we have everything in the box". I think it is better for me to keep learning LOGIC but you know, I heard that before LOGIC 9 came out (and I know that's true since I used LOGIC 8 ), there wasn't anything like FLEX TIME or VARISPEED so people used ProTools and some "elastic" (I think) option for that. ![]() So I don't want to choke my system unless I will use it I don't know about latency in LOGIC since I didn't make any recordings in LOGIC yet but I know about that BUFFER SIZE that can be changed to affect latency if there is any.įisherking.Well I would try it but I am concerned about taking too much hard disk space. SculliD."Well pt8 doesn't have adc".ummm.what is ADC ? Read the, I think I made a mistake it is PT essential actually.
